The Cruise to Ninove bought to you by T2D/T3D.
Firstly an insight into the Ninove show itself, Known as "The Freddy Files" the show is a simple, laid back one day gathering of VW's in a small town in Belgium called Ninove. However, not just a few cars turn up, last year nearly 1000 cars arrived in Ninove, filling every available parking space in the town square, the whole of the main shopping street and every side street, all of which had been closed off for the day to normal cars. The atmosphere is fantastic as many of the shops, cafes and bars remain open for the event there is also a small swapmeet and every car that arrives gets a goodie bag, and automatic entry into the show and shine.
This year "The Freddy Files" is on Sunday the 9th March, so the T2D/T3D convoy will be leaving the UK on Saturday the 8th. Like last year the T2D/T3D cruise will assemble in England, we plan to meet in front of the Channel Tunnel Terminal Building (just through the first Check-In booths) and we advise people to try and get onto the 7.50 am train. Tickets should be purchased asap, as the sooner you buy the cheaper the ticket. Tickets for the crossing can be purchased online @ www.euroltunnel.com, Remember to book the 7.50am train on the 8th of March, if these sell out and you want to take part in the convoy get on the earlier train and meet us at the Bonjour petrol station which you will see as you exit the tunnel complex once you enter France. For the return crossing, most people will aim to get back to Calais for the 20.20 crossing on Sunday the 9th. 
Once off of the tunnel will will assemble at the Bonjour petrol station and then set off on the road to Ninove. The drive to Ninove is a comfortable drive of about 2 hours and we make plenty of stops for food, drinks, legs stretching, novelty euro petrol station rubbish, and of course technical adjustment to our cars. Once in the Ninove area we will be met by the "The Freddy Files" organisers (freddy and Kobus of Euro Bug-In fame) who will escort us to our hotels.
Once we have parked up, and checked into the hotel, there is an optional tour around the local vintage brewery which is a quick march away form the hotel, it's a good opportunity to sample some local beers and to purchase a few crates if you like what you sample.
On the Saturday Evening, we have booked the whole of a local restaurant, where we will eat from a special set price menu. You will need to reserve your place in advance by emailing us with you name and how many people will want to eat in your party, please subject the email "FOOD", you should receive confirmation back, if you don't get confirmation PLEASE CALL US. It is the same restaurant last year which ended up as an all you can eat type of thing at around 40 euros per head.
The hotel info will be available in the next few weeks, but rooms for upto 3-4 people cost about 100euros per room, get added to the mailing list for more info. Sunday is the main event and the show starts to assemble in the street outside of the main hotel about 9am, we will depart from Ninove about 4pm..
